Beach Clean Up Exercise

2nd April 2024

The sea is important for sustaining public life and the planet. It is a major source of oxygen, water, Biodiversity and biomass.

In Ghana, our beaches are often littered with filth; ranging from micro plastics to large debris particularly during festive seasons and holidays. Plastic pollution contribute to climate change by emitting greenhouse gas and negatively impacting marine organisms by causing suffocation, starvation and drowning.

Recognizing the essential contribution of marine ecosystems to our Planet, EcoClub 360 joined the team at Labadi Beach in Accra, Ghana on April 2, 2024 to clean up the beach after the Easter festivities. We also seized the opportunity to provide education on the significance of keeping the beach clean.

Let us protect and sustain our marine environment.

Our Planet Our Future!

EcoClub 360

Our primary goal is to empower students and the youth, especially students in basic and secondary schools in Ghana, with the knowledge and skills needed to undertake responsible environmental activities and projects that promote positive behaviours towards the environment.

Our primary goal is to empower vulnerable populations with the necessary climate adaptation and mitigation measures for building resilience, and managing risks in view of the exacerbating global climate crisis.
